Measurement Systems: Complete Solutions with Bluetest Reverberation Chambers
The economical, portable and lightweight Bluetest chambers quickly generate accurate antenna measurements traditionally achieved in larger, more expensive far-field or near-field ranges using anechoic chambers. Bluetest reverberation chambers are particularly well suited for measuring wireless phones in the 'talk position' near a phantom head to determine the effect of the human body on antenna propagation.
Measurement Accuracies and Times
Each Bluetest reverberation chamber comes with software to control chamber operation as well as test instrumentation. The mode stirrers can be run in different sequences. The times shown in the accompanying table are representative of a Bluetest HP chamber collecting all power samples within the frequency band. Note: time reference level calibration (set once per project) is not included in the table. Total accuracy and frequency resolution will depend upon the instrumentation chosen, test frequency, chamber size and test sequence. Faster measurements are possible with reduced accuracy.
| Measurement | Erad | TRP | TIS via AFS |
| Time | 1 Min | 1 Min | 5-10 Min |
| Standard Deviation | 0.5 dB | 0.5 dB | 1 dB |
| Frequency Resolution | < 5 MHz | Single Channel | Single Channel |
Erad = Radiation Efficiency
TRP = Total Radiated Power
TIS = Total Isotropic Sensitivity
AFS = Average Fading Sensitivity
